# Build with Postinger

> One publishing workflow, three ways to use it.

Postinger brings connected social accounts, media, publishing, and analytics into a project. Use the command line for local work, MCP for AI-assisted workflows, or the HTTP API for your own integration.

## The publishing workflow

Connect a social account in Postinger, check its publishing capabilities, upload your media, and create a draft. Publish it immediately or schedule it for later. Read the post afterward to check the outcome for each account.

Uploading a file and creating a draft do not publish anything. An accepted publish request starts asynchronous work; the final result appears on the post.

## Current environment

These docs target the currently configured **development environment**:

| Service | Address |
| - | - |
| Dashboard | `https://app.dev.postinger.dev` |
| Public API | `https://api.dev.postinger.dev/public/v1` |
| Remote MCP | `https://api.dev.postinger.dev/mcp` |

The CLI defaults to this API. For another environment, use its explicit API URL and credentials. Examples use placeholders such as `ACCOUNT_ID`, `MEDIA_ID`, and `POST_ID`; replace them with IDs returned by your project.

## Discover platform support

Read account publishing capabilities before preparing content. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok have different content rules; an account's availability and platform configuration determine what you can publish. Analytics support is discovered separately through analytics capabilities.
